INK-terview – Chatting with our Campaign Manager, Dulcie!
Our fabulous new Campaign Manager, Dulcie has been a fellow INKer now for two months! So in true INK style, we shone our spotlight on her and asked our ten quick-fire questions…
INK-terviewer: Hi Dulcie, let’s kick things off with you letting us in on what you’re working on this week…
Dulcie: I’m working on building a new clients social media channels as well as a brand new project for an existing client! All alongside my day to day tasks, and managing other client accounts.
INK-terviewer: INK wouldn’t be INK without…
Dulcie: The people, culture and coffee! If someone asked me to epitomise the perfect job and work environment it would be here.
INK-terviewer: If you weren’t our Marketing Campaign Manager here at INK, what profession might you have fancied having a go at instead?
Dulcie: I studied Law and Psychology so it’s likely I’d have gone on to be a Barrister or Criminal Psychologist. Although I adore animals so a becoming a Veterinarian would also have been a possibility.
INK-terviewer: Imagine you’re auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent…what talent would you wow the judges with? Any party tricks up your sleeve?
Dulcie: I’m quite a dab hand at DJing and singing so probably one of those – or maybe both combined, so singing whilst on the decks!
INK-terviewer: How would your best pal describe you in three words? Be honest…
Dulcie: Bonkers, loyal and honest.
INK-terviewer: If you could jet off to a desert island with three people (celebs or otherwise, dead or alive) who would make the cut and why?
Dulcie: Hmm. If it were family/friends it would be Mike – my better half as I couldn’t be without him. Emma – my best friend because we just bounce off each other and she has me in stitches. Stafford – Mike’s best mate, he has great banter and can keep Mike company whilst me and Emma go crazy! If it were celebs, I’d have to pick Bear Grylls – because why not? He’d keep me alive! Armin Van Buuren – my favourite DJ. Laidback Luke – my second favourite DJ!
INK-terviewer: For you, what’s been the most important digital development in recent years – and how has it helped you do your job?
Dulcie: Aside from Social Media exploding in recent years from a marketing perspective, I would probably have to say the way that Dynamic Content has evolved. It has made aspects of my previous roles and my present one so much quicker and easier at the same time as delivering a far smoother and efficient customer experience/journey.
INK-terviewer: Three-course dinner party round at yours! But what’s on the menu?
Dulcie: Starter: Goats cheese, red pepper and pesto tartlet. Main: Salmon en Crut with Dauphinoise potatoes and long stem broccoli, Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard or Jam Roly Poly with custard – actually I’m generous I’d make both! Every course would be homemade – I’m a dab hand in the kitchen, especially baking!
INK-terviewer: If you could offer just one piece of advice to a budding Marketing Campaign Manager, what would it be?
Dulcie: Hard work and dedication – that’s all you need to be successful!
INK-terviewer: Finally, aside from your obvious talent of DJing and singing, tell us something else we don’t know about you…
Dulcie: I’m a female petrol head! Really in to my cars, not just any old cars – I like my performance vehicles and love to modify them both aesthetically and mechanically. People don’t expect it at all because I’m a girl, but I probably know my way around an engine more than most men! I love music festivals – dance music is my mothership! I also own, breed, show and judge dogs – Lhasa Apso’s to be exact.
